Belonging in our community
Wherever we came from, wherever we work, Cheveley, Ashley, Woodditton and Kirtling are where we are now, they’re our villages. We all show we belong here in different ways – where we shop, our favourite pub, where we go for walks and picnics. And we care for our villages, their traditions, their history, their beautiful buildings and of course their people.
Another way to show we belong is to go on the electoral roll at church.
You can go on the roll if
- You are over 16 and baptised (in any church), and live in the villages or habitually worship in one of the four parish churches
- You feel your village church is ‘your’ church – for weddings, funerals, christenings, special services and special times
If you’re on the roll you can
- Be elected onto the Parochial Church Council to work with our parish priest for the church
- Elect other people onto the Parochial Church Council
Going on the electoral roll costs nothing – although, if the church matters to you, we hope you might want to support it!
If you want to show you care for your village church and are part of its community, fill in the form in the centre of this copy of The Link and return it to the rectory; the electoral roll officers will add your name to the relevant roll.
You can download a copy of the form here: Electoral Form
Please return forms to Rectory by 23rd April 2021
